The speaker:

Bassam Dally - is a Palestinian-Australian academic who has been advocating for peace with justice in Israel-Palestine for the last 15 years. He is the co-founder of AFOPA, retired vice-President of APAN and the President of Glimmer of Hope. He is credited for establishing the annual Edward Said Memorial Lecture in Adelaide in 2005.

The talk will touch on the theme of separation and union and how it applies for Israel- Palestine. It will include a brief mention of historical turning points, the impact on population and their habitat and the political pull and push factors that are hindering progress. The talk will be for ~30 minutes and Q&A session will follow.

Bassam will be talking on his personal capacity and his views do not represent any organization he is a member of.
