Hewlett-Packard makes the occupation work.

Join us on November 10th as we join and take the worldwide boycott movement to the streets of Brisbane. We will identify suppliers of Hewlett Packard products for sale in Brisbane explain to their customers and passers by why buying Hewlett Packard is buying apartheid.

Meet at King George Square, 11am, Saturday 10 November 2018

HP provides technology and services to Israel to:

  1. Violate the human rights of Palestinians as it enforces its occupation, land annexations and ethnic cleansing of Palestine.

  2. Operate its military checkpoints to restrict the movement of Palestinians. HP provides services and equipment to the Israeli Prison Service thereby assisting Israel in incarcerating thousands of Palestinians – including children. Currently, 5,732 Palestinian political prisoners suffer isolation, torture, and other inhumane treatment in Israeli prisons. Over 400 are being held indefinitely without charge or trial. And 291 are CHILDREN under the age of 18.

Join us in telling HP’s outlets in Brisbane it’s not OK to profit from the occupation and suppression of indigenous people.

Meet us at King George Square, CBD, at 11am, Saturday 10 November and join us as we proceed to picket stores like Officeworks and JB Hi-Fi who sell HP products. In doing so, you will help spread awareness about Israel’s occupation, HP’s complicity and the international BDS movement.

Like the South African anti-apartheid movement, the Palestinian BDS call urges nonviolent pressure on Israel until it:

  1. Ends its occupation and colonization of all Arab lands and dismantling the Wall

  2. Grants Palestinians in Israel the same fundamental rights now available exclusively to ‘Jewish nationals’.

  3. Respects the rights of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and properties.
