Our Earth - how do we work together to heal the devastation of war and create hope for our children?

Our theme for 2024: Interfaith Celebrations and Commemorations will focus on the earth for our April.  In peaceful times the creation celebrates the earth when we live and move and have our being. In times of war the earth is so very vulnerable to the devastation we cause. With this event, we hope to focus our constructive  energy on the importance of the earth for our lives, and how the devastation of war heightens devastation for all of creation.  How can we constructively work towards peace and protecting bio-diversity of the earth?

Our speaker: Professor Mazin Qumsiyeh is a scientist and author. He is the founder and director of the Palestine Museum of Natural History (PMNH) and the Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability at the University of Bethlehem where he teaches (palestinenature.org). in creating an opportunity for him to share his wisdom & faith in biodiversity conservation, climate response, and his deep love for the land and people of Palestine.

He is coming to Australia to talk about the intersection of land rights, peace, and environmental justice/conservation.
